Sweet Marguerite

Marguerite's dance recital was this evening. She was precious as usual and seemed to really enjoy being on stage. She is right in the middle of this group of girls.
She is so much fun to experience new things with. While I was pregnant with her, we received a prophecy about her - about the joy she would bring us and how her cup would run over with joy. It's true! I know it is rather cliche to say that someone is so "full of life". I mean, aren't we all? What is half full? Rather dead? My Marguerite Joy is full of life and such a blessing to me.
The biggest compliment I can give her is that she is being a good mommy. It makes her glow. She would rather work with me in the kitchen than go outside and play. She loves taking care of Daisy for me and calls it "making Daisy happy". The other day, I had her playing with the Daisy on the floor and overheard her saying in a baby sing song voice "How's my sweet ugly baby?" I'm glad to be her mother and grateful to God for sending me a daily reminder to be joyful.

Dearest Mother

Proverbs 31:28
Her children arise and call her blessed

I am grateful to you.
I am grateful to God for giving you to me. (or me to you.)
I am proud of you. I have seen your character through Dad's sickness and death, through having to work, in adventurous traveling and in still seeking God and not settling into a habit.
I love that you go to Africa - 2x in 1.5 years. What's ahead?
I am grateful that you always lead me to God.
I appreciate all you do for the kids (fun and educational gifts, all the quality time and attention to each one, helping with Elijah's food, the way I could count on you when I was sick after Daisy, that your hearts desire for them is that they seek God.)
I love that I don't have anything to complain about you to my friends.
I love knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that you pray for me and my family.
I love you.

Elijah the Drummer

This is from Elijah's drum recital Friday night. It was filmed by the father of the two boys on the right and Elijah is on the far left so you don't see him much. But you can hear him! I just randomly found it on Youtube while I was searching out the drumming troupe of his teacher.
