Where Flamingos Fly by Van Morrison

This is my favorite love song. It is by Van Morrison. I prefer listening to his soulish singing than reading it but I thought I might as well post this since it is my blog name. And honestly, I just use 'flamingosfly' anywhere that I need a user name or something because it is always available.

Go for a ride
In the still of the night
And morning brings forth
All this wonderful delight
Couldn't have made it more plain
When I heard that soft refrain
And I heard you gently sigh

Wanna take you where flamingos fly, flamingos fly
Way over yonder in the clear blue sky
That's where flamingos fly

Lie in the dark
With the sound of the nightingale
Listen for a lark
I will tell you a tale
Breeze is blowin', blowin' outside
Wanna take that moonlight ride
When I hear you gently sigh

Wanna take you where flamingos fly, flamingos fly
Way over yonder in the clear blue sky
That's where flamingos fly

Well we're here and we're waiting
For that morning light to shine
And I'm looking at you looking at me looking right back at you
And I'm anticipating
Sounds along the way
Looking at you looking at me looking right back at you, hey

I'll follow the road
That will take me, take me right back home
And carry that load
Where the deer and the provincial angels roam
Happiness touches, touches me now
I know where it came from and how
When I hear you gently sigh

Wanna take you where flamingos fly, flamingos fly
Way over yonder in the clear blue sky
That's where flamingos fly, flamingos fly
Way over the rooftops of the houses
I heard it one time, I heard it one time in a lullaby
I heard it one time, I heard it one time in a lullaby
Somewhere, somewhere, somewhere way over the rooftops of the houses
Heard it one time in a lullaby
Heard it one time, heard it one time in a lullaby

Let's get it started

I've got to get this blog rolling. How else will the masses learn about me and the great things I have to say? Gotta love those masses. Always crying out for more of Ami, searching out her foibles. Welcome to my life (as time permits).

I'll probably talk alot about the kids. They are my life, for now. They are fascinating little people with great ideas and lots of lessons to teach me. They have brought me closer to God. (Or should I say , driven me to God?) It constantly amazes me how they show me my own folly. The way they act towards me is the way I act towards God. They fuss and complain and yet they always have everything they need and I can usually anticipate their needs, saving them the trouble of having to complain. They cry for water while I am busy making them chocolate milk. It just takes a little longer sometimes to get something better than just what you need.
How often do I act that way towards God, fussing and worrying when His promises are right there before me, when all I have to do is trust and wait.

God is good...all the time.
